About us

We are Roy and Nicola and Neve

About our house

We live in the beautiful village of Farleigh Hungerford just outside of Bath.
Our home is a single story barn conversion with stunning countryside views. The accommodation we offer is a linked annexe with its own lounge, kitchen, bedroom & bathroom. We have a nice garden with hot tub and allotment.

Who else lives here?

Roy and I live here with our teenage daughter Neve who is still at school. We have 2 Jack Russel Terriers; Boots and Bronte, who love nice walks and lots of love. We also have 2 cats; Duncan and Biscuit and our daughter keeps 2 Musk Turtles.

What we like to do

We live a very quiet life generally, both working part time. Roy loves to build guitars in his home workshop and plays in a couple of Bands.
Nicola is a keen gardener and also spends quite a bit of time volunteering with Frome Rotary Club doing all sorts of activities and projects.
We enjoy walking the dogs in the lanes and fields near our house, socialising with friends and eating out when we can. In the evening we like to sit out in the garden if the weather is ok or watching a good boxset on TV.

Our experience as a carer

We are both Paramedics with over 20 years experience each and so have a good grasp of what it takes to care for people with a wide range of needs. We are well versed in managing medications and more complex medical conditions and are both very experienced at dealing with personal care with sensitivity.

Who we can support

Older people in need of respite or home from Hospital or anybody who would enjoy a peaceful rural setting and might like to share some of the activities we enjoy or introduce us to things they like.

Local area and community

The village is very small with a church and small village hall. It is also home to Bath Rugby Club and has it’s own castle! There is a Bus stop, village shop and pubs 2 miles away which we are happy to drive to and from. The buses run directly to Bath and Frome and there are easy links to Bristol. Other local towns are Bradford- on Avon and Trowbridge which are 10 minute drive away.
