About us

The property is a spacious rural home near Edington, providing a warm, welcoming household in a peaceful setting. Their five-bedroom detached home includes an annex occupied by one of the carers elderly parents and sits within around three acres of grounds. The outdoor space includes a swimming pool, hot tub and gym equipment. Two good-sized bedrooms are available for Shared Lives; one is a single room and the other is a double room.

They are experienced foster carer’s and bring a calm, nurturing approach to creating a safe and positive home environment. They are warm and welcoming individuals who live with their adopted son and their large dog.

One of the carers is a chef by background and loves involving people in food choices and cooking, using everyday routines to build skills, confidence and independence. She also grows vegetables in the garden, and both carers enjoy an active lifestyle, offering plenty of opportunities for healthy routines and shared interests.

This vacancy would suit someone who wants to develop life skills and increase their independence, in a supportive home setting, benefiting from clear structure and encouragement, and is happy living in a rural location where transport is planned as part of the support.

Individuals placed must be able to live with children and will require a DBS check by the fostering agency.
