About us

This is a rural household on a working beef cattle farm near Holsworthy, North Devon.

The property is a 4 bedroom detached family home with a family kitchen and living room downstairs and bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs.

The carers are experienced foster carers having supported many young people and families including parent and child placements. They are available to offer short breaks in their family home to people who are looking for a rural yet social retreat. The carers could offer regular short breaks/respite or a longer break to someone who needed a place to stay.

The nearest public transport is in the local village which is a short drive away by car – the carers are able to support a person to get to the bus stop if needed. From here there are busses to Bude, Holsworthy and Launceston.

There are often other family members, young children or friends who visit the home.

The carers enjoy entertaining with music, playing games or visiting local places like the seaside town of Bude which is nearby, Launceston or Holsworthy. They also enjoy cycling, cooking and supporting people to learn independent living skills

There is a very friendly and quiet pet collie dog and a cat
