About Me My name is Rebecca I wish to offer Short Breaks. I have gained experience support others from working in a residential home many years ago, supporting my sister who has additional care and support needs, and my elderly father. Plus, voluntary roles with The Samaritans and a homless charity. I also, have a full time job not related to care and support.
Home and Location I live in a two-bedroomed 1960’s bungalow in Sidmouth. It is on a small horseshoe shaped bungalow estate. There are fields at the top of the estate, on the other side of the former and long since disused railway line into Sidmouth. These fields mark the start of an Area of Outstanding National Beauty. All rooms are on the level. We have added an extension to make a large open plan kitchen/diner at the rear of our home, which overlooks the garden, together with a separate office/study area.
There is a single step up to the front door and steps down into the enclosed garden at the rear.
My partner and 4 x pet dogs live we me too. Mo (13years) – female whippet x. Bella (11 years) female whippet x, Oakley (5 years) male springador and Nula (3 years) female vizsla cocker cross – all very friendly. Nula can be barky on first met but mellows once she has got used to new company.
We are close to a bus stop (located at the entrance to our estate) to either get a bus into the centre of Sidmouth or to Honiton, Seaton, Exmouth or Exeter. Waitrose, a local Church, a community hall and a doctor’s surgery are all within a short walking distance. In town there is a public swimming pool, local independent shops, a cinema, coffee shops, pubs & restaurants as well as the seafront and the fabulous Jurassic coast.
