The property is a 3 bedroom detached bungalow chalet with a large driveway for more than 4 cars, a garage and good sized private garden. Downstairs there is a lounge with log burner, open plan kitchen diner, one bedroom and a bathroom with separate toilet.
Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms and a bathroom. However, the ground floor room is the room available and used for SLSW individuals.
This carer works at a local day centre as a Team Leader 4 days a week but is currently on maternity leave. She has a varied skill set and experience in supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, younger adults and those with mental health issues.
This carer is looking to offer breaks at weekends but if the match was right may be able to consider some mid-week support.
This carer enjoys things like going out to Cafe’s, Garden Centres, bowling, cinema, for walks, as well as cooking at home and enjoying their garden space in the warmer months.
An individual who already has a degree of independence but is looking to increase this and learn new skills would be best suited to this carer.
This carer has dogs to stay when their owners go away. The carer has tended to keep dog bookings and SLSW individuals stays separate but there may be occasions these overlap. Careful consideration will be taken by the carer if this situation was to arise.
This carer has 2 very young children (a toddler and baby) so individuals being matched must be able to live with young children/babies. Due to this, the carer is specific with matches to ensure she can meet the needs of her children and SLSW individuals.
