About us

This vacancy would suit somebody looking for a supportive environment with plenty of laughter and fun.

The carer is an experienced support carer primarily focusing on people with learning disabilities, with over 12 years in the field. She has supported a range of people with complex additional needs, non verbal and epilepsy.  She is currently working with younger people but has in the past supported a more senior client base.

The property is on the whole of the ground floor as a separate flat of a 3-story detached house.

The front entrance into the porch leads in to a large open plan lounge diner with the kitchen situated at the rear.

The bedroom is the first room off the lounge on the left as you open the open plan accommodation.

There is a second small office room/hallway off the lounge that you can access the rear garden through a large (emergency) window with a few steps up to it. You need to bend down to go through this.

Off the kitchen leads to a small hall with the bathroom off this. There is a large walk-in shower, no bath.

The other door from the hall leads to the carers bedroom. The private courtyard is accessed from the lounge and the good sized shared rear garden is lawned with an area of decking that is not in use due to rotting wood.

The flat is situated a few minutes’ walk from the town centre at the end of a cul-de-sac.

St Columb Major is a small historic town in the centre of Cornwall situated between Wadebridge (7miles) and Newquay (6 miles) with a small community with regular family events such as Carnival and The Silver Ball hurling competition.

St Colomb has a variety of a dozen or more shops and a regular bus service in to Newquay every hour or so.

Female dog called very friendly, 18 months old.
