About us

This carer lives with her husband, son and a very friendly 7-year-old Springer Spaniel. She works part time in the community specialising in dementia care but also has experience with younger adults with additional needs through working at Cornwall College, supporting students with ECHP’s and as a job coach. She also completed additional training in mental health first aid and mental health awareness and has additional experience as a manager in sheltered housing.

The property is a bungalow situated just off a main road, on the outskirts of Hayle town centre. It consists of an open plan kitchen and lounge area, a diner/conservatory, one bathroom and a utility room. There is a driveway on both sides of the property with a small front garden and parking. At the back is a lovely private garden with established shrubs, flowers and a raised patio area. It is not suitable for a wheelchair user but would be for a person with moderate mobility difficulties. There is one spare room to provide short breaks and respite.

Amenities include St Michaels hospital, good transport links with bus stops nearby in Foundry Square and a train station. There is a good health clinic in the town, three chemists, a good variety of individual shops, eating places and chemists, a large supermarket (ASDA) is just down the road. There are some lovely walks in the area, beaches nearby and King Georges Walk which is flat and suitable for all mobilities. Hayle has a Rugby Club, Football Club, Cricket Club, Bowling Club, Tennis Club and an outdoor swimming pool which is open in the summer, a large recreation ground, and there are also four churches nearby.
