Where we live
“We live in a rural location close to the village of Nanstallon between Bodmin (4 miles) and Wadebridge (5 miles). We live on a farm which is an equestrian livery yard. You can access the Camel Trail at the bottom of the lane.
Our house has a kitchen diner, an entrance hall and lounge on the ground floor. Upstairs there are the bedrooms and a shower room with a toilet and sink.
I live with husband Mark and our 2 boarder terriers Holly and Tee. Tee can be a little excited when new visitors come but he soon calms down. Sometimes my family visit with my grandchildren.”
What we like to do
“I like to go out on my horse Ebony. I also enjoy gardening, relaxing in my garden room, visiting National Trust places, going on walks and going out for coffee and cake.
Mark likes to go fishing. He also likes to watch films and collects coins.”
Our experience as carers
“I have over 17 years experience of supporting adults with a learning disability and also adults that have complex care needs.”
Who we can support
“Someone long term. Someone who likes to be part of a household that likes the outdoors and animals. Someone who likes a calm and quiet environment but is ok when my family visit with their children as they can be noisy sometimes”.
The local area and community
“We have an entrance from the farm onto the Camel Trail. About 3/4 mile along the trail there is a tearoom and about 1 1/2 miles away is the village of Nanstallon. In the community hall they have regular events such as pub nights, games nights, craft sessions. The towns of Bodmin and Wadebridge have local shops and amenities and Nanstallon also has a farm shop.”
